Life After New College
New College alums lead uncommon lives. In keeping with the New College ideal that each student should map his or her own intellectual journey, each of our more than 4,000 graduates has followed a unique path – many with distinction.
Distinguished alums include Rhodes Scholar Gregory Dubois-Felsmann, Fields Medal Winner William Thurston, US Representative Lincoln Diaz-Balart, NASA scientist and meteorologist Thomas Bell, and Olympic gold medalist Cindy Gettinger.
Our graduates go on to work for some of the most prominent companies and organizations in the world. These include the French government, Motorola, National Public Radio, The Peace Corps, PricewaterhouseCoopers, The Federal Reserve Bank, Smithsonian Institute, The Wall Street Journal, Upjohn and the US Forest Service. Novo Collegians are concert pianists, college professors, White House news correspondents and inventors.
